I found this reposted by a friend on Twitter. I think its a great idea, very cute, but quite the surprise for all the neighbours (for a day). Little aliens in the snow, with glowing eyes. You could add details, like sticks in the sides as arms, maybe antennae at the top of the head. But, just plain works too.
